“...you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

-Jesus (from Acts 1:8)

In the short time between Jesus’ resurrection and His ascension, He cast a vision for how His MISSION would continue in the world. The places He named show the good news moving outward—from where His followers were to the wider world. In this simple statement we see a foundational piece of what it means to be the church.

Because we are convinced that everyone is called to God's mission, here at Fairview we have a two-pronged approach to this important work. 

You can contribute to a GIVE initiative or serve through a GO project.

Supporting the work of mission and relief ministries through generosity. Mission: GIVE gathers financial gifts and needed supplies that are shared with trusted local partners serving people in times of need. Just look for our dropoff point in the lobby!

This is our umbrella for hands-on service. From serving within our church to projects in the community and across the region, these opportunities invite us to step into the mission of Jesus with our time, energy, and heart. Consider jumping in to one of our WITHIN, LOCAL, OR REGIONAL projects!

GO: Within
We believe the mission of Jesus can start right here. GO: Within focuses on meeting the needs of people within our church family through acts of service, generosity, and support.
Currently we are serving those in need of meals during bereavement or medical recovery, those needing help with light home maintenance, and those with worship or medical transportation needs.

GO: Local
Jesus also calls us to love our neighbors, so GO: Local includes projects and partnerships that serve our local community and share the hope of Christ right where we live.
GO: Local currently includes regular opportunities to serve at God’s Storehouse and Park Ave. Elementary School.

GO: Regional
Up for a road trip? The good news doesn’t stop at our city limits. GO: Regional seeks to connect our church with mission opportunities across the region, allowing us to serve communities within a few hours of home.
GO: Regional currently partners with Appalachia Service Project to serve impoverished counties in the mountains.

GO: Beyond
International missions will be introduced at a later date!
